Meet: Madison and Adam
Wedding date: 20th February 2021
Number of guests: 100
How did you meet?
“We met when we use to work at McDonalds at 15 and 16 years old.”
Describe the moment he proposed:
“Adam bought me a helicopter ride for my 21st birthday. 1 year later, I decided to cash in on it. We went on the most beautiful flight over Sydney Harbour. When we landed, I got off and stood around enjoying the sun. I was looking at the helicopter, turned around and there was Adam, on one knee.”
Describe the journey of finding your dream venue and your experience with Springfield House:
“We originally had another venue booked, but the experience was not great. As soon as we decided to change venues, Springfield House was my go to. Our experience with Springfield House was incredible and relaxing. Mind you – I was a new mum, starting all of my wedding planning from scratch as we swapped venues and I had 2 months before going back to work full time. Judy and Wendy were there to answer any of our questions, made us feel comfortable and worked with us to create our dream wedding. We could not have and will never ask for a better day, or would we want to change anything (except having a 5 day wedding because we had so much fun). I can’t explain in words how incredible our experience was with Springfield House, the staff and all vendors they use.”
What made you fall in love with Springfield House?
“The staff! To anyone with eyes, the venue is clearly stunning and hard not to fall in love with while you stare at it, however the staff make the point of difference to any other venue. They’re accommodating, happy, helpful, professional, friendly and fun. Judy was one of a kind and I don’t think any other venue has someone as helpful and as happy as her. All of our guests commented on the professional staff, beautiful gardens, great food and convenient location.”
What advice would you give to the future brides looking for a wedding venue:
“Don’t go for a venue just because it’s pretty or what other people would like. Go for a venue that also has great staff who actually want your day to be as perfect as you want it to be. It makes the planning stress free and your day will turn out perfectly. If you’re looking for an affordable, stunning and memorable venue, don’t go past Springfield House. Also, enjoy every moment of the day, even the bad as you’ll look back on these moments and laugh.”
Would you recommend the Springfield House to future brides?
“Absolutely! It was stunning, affordable, had lots of photo opportunities. It’s an all-in-one exclusive venue to have your ceremony and reception at and had great staff, vendors and food.”
Describe the wedding in a few paragraphs:
“We decided to go to a local park and do a first look. I can not recommend this enough! My now hubby and I are both emotional people, so doing a first look with just our bridal party around gave us privacy to be us, enjoy seeing each other for the first time and soak it in.
I then surprised my now husband with our dog showing up.
We then did our bridal party and couple photos at this park. What a blast that was, especially because we weren’t rushed for photos between a ceremony and reception. We actually had time to talk, enjoy the day and create memories with our favourite people.
We then headed over to Springfield House, where we occupied the bridal suit for 30 minutes before the ceremony started. The first look did not take away from the feeling or excitement of walking down the aisle. Surrounded by our nearest and dearest, we said “I Do”, kissed to seal the deal and signed some paperwork.
After our ceremony, we spent 30 minutes taking beautiful on site photos at Springfield House before joining our guests for a quick mingle. We then freshened up in the bridal suit, had some canapés and laughed a lot!
We danced the night away, ate incredible food, listened to great music and created unforgettable memories with our loved ones.”
What was the best moment of the night (funniest, most heart-warming, and most memorable)?
“Other than out first look, dog surprising my husband and spending the day with us, holding our sons hand during the day and having family and friends around us, I would have to say the speeches. The speakers spoke about so many memories we’ve had over the years with our loved ones. My husband and I aren’t “all about us” type of people, so it was really heartwarming to hear some nice things people had prepared for us, not to mention the embarrassing moments too.
Looking around the room, we could see how happy and emotional our family and friends were getting. It made me realise how lucky we were to be able to celebrate our wedding during the COVID-19 pandemic with restrictions in place. We couldn’t have everyone there that we originally planned for, but we were still in a room with 98 of our nearest and dearest. I had a bridesmaid stuck overseas in Malta due to COVID-19. She wrote a beautiful speech, which my sister/ maid of honour read out. I found it so beautiful and heartwarming to hear words from her as I feel part of her with me. I was also very blessed to have all 4 of my grandparents attend my wedding and that is something that I will forever treasure! But in all seriousness… the best moment was taking off my heels and letting my feet feel free!!”
