Most people have a general idea of who they would want at their wedding, so creating a guest list is a pretty easy task. It is also good to have an idea of how many guests you want when finding a venue, as you can meet capacity and minimum guests.

Wedding planners take a lot of stress out of the planning and preparation of your day as they are already familiar with the area and can give a lot of insight to individuals who may not know where to start.

Having a specific theme makes choosing the finer details much easier. It is important to establish the formality early so that all decorations, venues and dresses are cohesive and complement each other.

5. Find Your Dream Venue

Finding your perfect dream venue is crucial for being able to plan your flawless day. It is good to have a good idea in your head of what you want, so that it is easy to pick a venue. Springfield house offers both a Garden Ceremony and Reception space, which takes a lot of stress of finding a destination instead of trying to find two venues that are available on the same day at a suitable time (plus it is a destination wedding close to home). Springfield house never books two events at the same time so that you don't have to share your special day with anyone.

Select a caterer and menu

Choosing what style of food you would like to feed your guests is extremely important. Luckily Springfield house has their own highly qualified chefs, and are hosting an upcoming Open Night on Thursday 17th of Feb where they have a range of vendors and caterers for bride and groom to be’s can meet and chat to potential vendors for their wedding free of charge.

Hire other Vendors

Vendors are anyone/ business that you hire for your day. An example of some vendors most people hire for weddings include:

Photographer/ videographer
Dj or band
Florists
Officiant
Book makeup and hair

Vendors make your run so much smoother and allow you to stress less.

Start Looking For Wedding Dresses

This can be one of the most exciting tasks for a bride. It is good to start looking earlier so that you have time to make alterations and don't have to stress about it too close to your wedding.

Send Out save the date and invitations

It’s good to give your guests plenty of notice, this allows for higher attendance rates as people can plan their schedule around your wedding and give them time to work out accommodation and travel if needed.

Book the hiring of decorations, furniture or lighting ect.

As you are starting to get an idea of what you may like your wedding to look like and start to put together the finer details. You may decide to hire certain elements that maybe your venue don't supply or if you want a specific look.

This is an essential step, as the wedding bands are exchanged at the alter.

Prepare and Trial what is needed

This can include hair and makeup trials, floral trials cake tasting, dress try on and any last minute alterations made ect.
